THE IDEA

Take the scenic route.

A hiking and travel direction with separate pages for destinations, services and travel support.

The design language

Landscape-led storytelling and clear navigation support a more extensive travel website.

Inside the concept

  • Multi-page structure
  • Destination pages
  • Travel-support content
  • About & contact page

This is a front-end design reference. Sample products, prices, people and interactions are illustrative; bookings, payments, inventory and other live services are not implied.

BEHIND THE DESIGN / XN-018

From a clear brief
to a distinct point of view.

Concept case study. The brief and delivery plan below illustrate how a similar commission could be developed; they are not a record of a past client engagement.

01 / ILLUSTRATIVE CLIENT ENQUIRY

The ambition

Organise destinations and travel-support information into a multi-page experience that feels easy to navigate.

Intended audience: Outdoor travel & guided experiences.

The enquiry would establish the brand’s personality, its most important visitor journey and the content available at the start. The aim is a focused, original presence with a useful next step.

02 / DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

Why it looks.
Why it works this way.

Let landscape imagery establish context, then give each page a clear purpose. Consistent navigation and content grouping help a small operator communicate the breadth of its support without overloading one page.

A collection of destinations

Image-led destination groups allow a wider travel offer to remain easy to scan.

03

Make practical information part of the journey

Support content gets a clear, distinct place in the page hierarchy.

Cropped from the actual concept. Design observations describe intent, not measured business results.

03 / OUR PROPOSED DELIVERY CYCLE

Creative work.
A clear way forward.

Proposed cycle for a similar new project; stages can overlap within the indicative 4–6 weeks range. These are responsibilities, not a claim about team size or actual historic dates.

  1. Week 1

    Discover & define

    Strategy / project coordination

Agree the audience, core pages, content responsibilities and enquiry goals. Confirm the feature shortlist and what is outside scope.

  2. Week 2

    Explore & design

    Art direction / interface design

Develop the visual direction, page hierarchy and responsive compositions. Review a representative page before extending the system.

  3. Weeks 3–4

    Build the experience

    Front-end development

Implement the agreed page templates and interactions, including multi-page structure. Connect production services only where included in scope.

  4. Week 5

    Review & refine

    Quality assurance / client review

Test keyboard and touch use, smaller screens, form states and content accuracy. Gather consolidated feedback and resolve agreed revisions.

  5. Week 6

    Prepare & hand over

    Launch coordination

Confirm final content, hosting configuration and agreed integrations. Supply launch files and handoff notes, then complete the agreed acceptance checks.

Schedule begins after scope and content are agreed. Feedback timing, asset readiness and integration requirements can change the final plan.

04 / STUDIO DESIGN REVIEW

The strengths.
The thoughtful considerations.

Editorial assessment of this concept — not client feedback or a verified endorsement.

WHAT STANDS OUT

A positive point of view

The multi-page structure gives practical support content the same attention as the destination story.

WHAT TO RESOLVE TOGETHER

Ready for the real world

Route conditions, travel requirements and seasonal access can change; the content needs an explicit review schedule.
